Dog Walker Watch

The Granby Police Department is involved in a crime awareness program that encourages dog walkers throughout our community to assist as extra eyes and ears. For many residents walking their dog may seem like a routine activity, but for Police this activity can be a crime fighting tool in their neighborhoods and parks.

Volunteers will be trained in how to observe, identify and report suspicious persons, vehicles and activity; like a person walking through backyards, or a person sitting in a vehicle in front of a residence. Additionally, they will be taught how to provide descriptions of clothing and vehicles.

Please call or email the Granby Police Department to register and become part of the program. There is no required time commitment other than the initial two hour training.
